Join us for the Hart’s Grocery Author Series presentation of Diane’s recently released book: Wild, Tamed, Lost, Revived.
Diane Flynt will discuss her journey as a pioneering apple grower and cider maker and share insights into the history of apples in the American South.
Also enjoy tastings of our ciders made with apples from Diane’s Foggy Ridge orchard in Dugspur, VA, followed by a book signing.
Join us Saturday evening for live music by Ashe County singer, songwriter: Will Massey.
The Ashe County Beekeepers Association, in cooperation with Molley Chomper Cidery, is excited to offer a fun filled family friendly afternoon learning about the beloved honeybee!
Educational opportunities include an observation hive with live bees!
You can try on a real beekeeping suit, learn why we use a smoker when we are beekeeping, and ask real beekeepers all those questions you always wanted to know!
Honey and honey products will be for sale at the event and will allow you to take some of the deliciousness home with you! There will be honey tasting—so you can try different varieties of honey!
Have you ever wondered why honey can look so different with different colors and flavors?
Come learn about extracting honey and how honey is produced!
Bees from the Ashe County Beekeepers were placed in the apple orchards used to make Molley Chomper Cider, and you can learn more about pollination services and how honeybees are so important for our agriculture industry—not just apples!
Come out for a fantastic day and celebrate WORLD HONEYBEE DAY!!!
Join us for a fun night of trivia, hosted by William Ireland. Grab a pizza from Pie on the Mountain or your favorite sandwich from The Liars Bench.
As always, pets are welcome as long as you don’t cheat and ask them for hints.
Join us at the cidery to celebrate the Loose Rooster’s latest album release! We’ll also have the Fuego food truck on site, serving delicious taquitos and their other stylings on Mexican fare.
Ever wanted to try baking with sourdough? Come join us at the cidery for our first annual Sourdough Mixer event!
Taste sourdough products from local bakers and pick up a free sourdough starter. Purchase sourdough bread and other goodies.
We will also have local makers with jam, cheese, honey, and other goodies.

Catie Howell is a talented artist, who also happens to work at the cidery. She is hosting a paint and sip to paint this beautiful trout as a Father’s Day gift (or just to hang on your wall).
$35 per person, including a glass of cider and painting supplies.
Join us for a community cake walk as we raise money for a new program in Ashe County K-12 schools. Our S.O.S Birthday Program helps families in need by providing a cake and gift to celebrate their childrens’ birthdays. We are hoping to raise enough money to begin the program the start of this next school year.
The Fundraiser includes a cake walk with live music, bake sale, artisan craft raffle baskets, food vendors, and tin type photography.
We welcome Whitetop Mountain Band and Kraut Creek Ramblers for some good ole tunes while we raise money for a great cause. Please bring cash with you to the event to purchase raffle tickets and cake walk tickets.

Join us at the cidery to taste our first Emmaus Orchard cider vintage. This cider is made with 2022 fruit from Emmaus Orchard in Ashe County, NC. Jim and Chris DeJuneas (and family) planted the cider orchard several years ago, and we’re lucky enough to receive some of their fruit to make this cider. Jim and Chris will share their experience growing apples in the NC mountains, and we’ll talk about the unique aspects of their terroir in cider. We’ll also sample the 2023 vintage to see how things are coming along.

Join us the cidery for Waterfall Farm’s annual maple syrup sale. This delicious syrup is produced by Waterfall Farm in Warrensville, NC, from their own maple trees on their wood-fired evaporator.
Wheeler, Michael and Doug will be on hand to share their process and discuss their other endeavors, including their leather company and Doug’s books.

Ever wondered what to do with a pile of cuttings from that back yard tree? Sip cider and weave a tension tray from apple cuttings with our founder and cider maker, Kate Arscott. We’ll have a big pile of apple cuttings for participants to use and learn this ancient form of basket making.
